Doing Business with OPHID
Opportunities to do business with OPHID include but not limited to supply of goods and services, and consultancy services. OPHID maintains a database of pre-qualified suppliers of goods and services that is updated annually, and most of our routine purchases of goods and services is done from these suppliers. The database is updated at least once annually through a call for eligible vendors in various categories, and a rigorous pre-qualification process. Other opportunities above certain thresholds are routinely opened to tender as and when these become available, without limitation to those suppliers in the database.
As OPHID, we believe that our organization must set an example as a good citizen in the areas that we operate. OPHID is funded by donors that mandate us to pass down to vendors, partners, consultants, and associates some of the rules and regulations that govern how we use the funds. This means that our vendors, partners, consultants, and business associates must undertake to abide by these rules if they are receiving any donor funds from OPHID in the normal course of business.
We have developed the OPHID Vendor Policy Pack to make it easier for vendors to operationalize the mandatory rules within their companies when forming a business relationship with OPHID.
This policy pack covers the following areas:
- Child safeguarding.
- Sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
- Fraud and corruption control
- Prohibited conduct and conducting business with debarred individuals
- Whistleblowing.
OPHID wishes to do business with vendors that share our values and respect our donors’ rules and regulations. The OPHID Vendor Policy Pack is an annex to ALL service level agreements and purchase agreements between OPHID and its vendors. All vendors must sign the supplier declaration form, acknowledging and committing to upholding the provisions in the policy pack. We expect our vendors to exert significant influence within their own spheres of influence to ensure that the exemplary conduct in this policy pack is passed down. Working together across our supply chains, we will encourage and enable sustainability and long-term positive impacts.
